- The method of administration and dosage regimen of a particular drug depends on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by a physician. It should be strictly observed compliance with the used dosage form of a particular drug indications for use and dosing regimen.
- Use 25 mg 1-3 times / day for several months. In aplastic anaemia – 50 mg 3 times / day.
Side effects
Possible: unwanted frequent or prolonged erection.
Rarely: benign or malignant changes in the liver.
Contraindications to use
- Prostate cancer, liver tumours (including in the anamnesis).
- Use in pregnancy and lactation
- Mesterolone is used only in men.
- Use in liver dysfunction
- Contraindicated in case of liver tumours (including in the anamnesis).
- Use in children
- Contraindicated in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Special instructions
Mesterolone is used only in men.
Androgens are not intended to stimulate growth of muscle tissue in healthy individuals or to increase their performance.
During the period of use, regular rectal examination of the prostate gland is recommended.
