Description
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Proviron is prescribed for men in the following cases: Psychovegetative disorders and decreased performance in middle and old age due to androgen deficiency (including irritability, rapid fatigue, impaired memory and ability to concentrate, depressed moods, sleep disorders); Hypogonadism (reduced function of sex glands); Potency and libido disorders; Aplastic anemia; Infertility due to oligospermia and insufficiency of Leydig cells; Loss of function, for example, of the sex gland after reaching the age of puberty. Contraindications Absolute: Liver tumours, including in the anamnesis; Prostate cancer; Individual intolerance to the drug. Androgenic drug is not intended for women.
Peculiarities of use
Androgens should not be used in healthy individuals to strengthen muscles or increase general physical abilities.
The medicinal product Proviron should be used only by men.
In order to exclude prostate cancer, periodic examination of the prostate gland is recommended during treatment.
After the use of hormonal preparations such as those contained in the Proviron medicinal product, the occurrence of benign tumours has been reported in rare cases, and in very rare cases – malignant tumours of the liver, sometimes causing life-threatening bleeding. In case of severe pain in the epigastric region, enlargement of the liver or signs of intra-abdominal bleeding, the possibility of liver tumour should be considered in the differential diagnosis.
The medicinal product contains lactose. Patients with such rare inherited diseases as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption disorder should not take this drug.
The medicinal product contains methylparahydroxybenzoate and propylparahydroxybenzoate. Allergic reactions may occur (possibly delayed).
